Sue Nelson will be coaching one of the 12's teams. She is a Sioux Falls native and started her volleyball career as a player on WHS's state championship team. She went on to play four years at SDSU, where she still holds a school record for service aces. While finishing her degree at SDSU she served as a student assistant on campus and also guided the Sioux Valley Cossacks to their first state tournament appearance. After returning to Sioux Falls, she became an assistant coach at O'Gorman during their state championship run. She left O'G to become the head coach at Lennox High School. She later returned to O'G to coach and has since kept in touch with the "volleyball world" by coaching at USF, local middle schools and camps.
Sue has been working with middle school kids for 22 years and currently teaches science at Whittier Middle School. Sue and her husband Scott are the proud parents of Austin-20, Alex-16, Anthony-12 and Andrew-7. Sue has returned to coach the Sioux Falls South 12's because of her continued passion for volleyball and looks forward to the opportunity to develop young players into successful high school athletes.
Maggie Dally will be coaching on of the 12's teams. She is a 2010 graduate of O'Gorman High School. Dally now coaches the sophomore volleyball team after coaching junior high volleyball for two years. Dally is currently a student at Augustana College, where she is studying math and secondary education , and Spanish.
Jaime Whiting will be coaching one of the 14's teams. She is excited to continue her coaching career after recently coaching the O'Gorman 7th graders during the 2012 season. She has also coached JO volleyball for Sioux Falls West and Tri-Valley. Jaime is a 2003 graduate of Roosevelt High School where she played volleyball and held the record for most career digs for several years. Jaime is a business owner. She and her husband have four boys together.
Bryan Haase will be coaching on of the 14's teams. He graduated from Deubrook High School and has been coaching volleyball since 2009. He is an avid adult player with 20+ years of experience playing Coed, Mens and USAV Mens. Bryan has played in 2 USAV National tournaments. Bryan previously coached Freshmen and also Sophomore levels at Sioux Falls Roosevelt along with 14's teams at SF West. Bryan is currently the Junior Varsity coach at O'Gorman High School. Bryan and his wife, Amy, have 1 son.
Jenna Hultgren Klepatz will be coaching the 15/16s team. She is a graduate of St. James High School. Jenna played JO volleyball for Southwest Minnesota Juniors and competed in 3 national tournaments. She went on to play for USD for two years before transferring to Augustana College, where she finished her career, playing both outside hitter and libero for the Vikings. During her career, Jenna instructed numerous camps to players of all different skill levels. She graduated in 2010 with a double major in Business Administration and Biology, and is now currently employed at Sanford Health.
Stacy Charron, a Huron native, spent 10 years as a volleyball coach at Aberdeen Central before moving to Sioux Falls in 2010. She played volleyball collegiately at Northern State University. Stacy has also been an assistant coach at SF O’Gorman and she teaches at St. Michael Elementary in Sioux Falls. Stacy and her husband, Wade, have 3 children.
Tara Boeve Venenga will be co-coaching one of the 17's teams. She played for the Southwest Minnesota JO club team, graduated from Hills Beaver Creek High School and went on to play at Augustana College. Tara was an all-conference player and a member of the 2000 NCAA Division II National Runner up team. Her coaching experience includes coaching at O'Gorman, instructing numerous volleyball camps throughout the area, and assisting with TIBBS Volleyball lessons. Tara and her husband Derek have 2 girls and works as an accountant for Metabank.
